Stock number 3CPLG0706PW is a continuous thread 70-450 (70G) Gold Metal Lid. This metal cap is made out of tin plate steel and is similar to the 2-piece canning lids, but is instead 1 solid piece. It has a tamper-evident button top with ribbed sides for easy application or removal. It has a gold exterior with a brown buff interior and edge. On the top, along the outside rim is a stacking feature that makes it easy to stack additional jars on top. Inside the top of the cap, it has a non-removable ring of plastisol that is designed to handle hot-fill processes with ease. This plastisol liner is designed to handle a high heat or longer water bath compared to other plastisol-lined caps. When the plastisol liner is warmed by the product temperature, a vacuum forms creating an airtight, hermetic seal. Once the consumer breaks this seal, the button on the top will "pop" which indicates that the product has been opened or tampered with. This cap is designed to fit on a jar with a 70-450 C/T neck finish, but we recommend testing with your filling process for compatibility.
