This metal cap is made out of tin plate steel and is similar to 2 piece canning lids, but instead, it is one solid piece. It has a smooth top with ribbed sides for easy application or removal. It has a Silver exterior with a White interior and edge. On the top, along the outside rim is a stacking feature that makes it easy to stack additional jars on top, maximizing shelf space. Inside the top of the cap, it has a non-removable ring of plastisol that is designed to handle hot-fill processes with ease. After the plastisol liner is warmed by the product temperature, a vacuum forms creating an airtight, hermetic seal. This cap is designed to fit on a jar with a 70-450 C/T neck finish, but we recommend testing with your filling process for compatibility.
